A Hartbeespoort man accused of killing his wife and stepdaughter in November last year is set to continue his bid to be granted bail.

Paul Prinsloo (61) appeared briefly in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning, with the case postponed to next Wednesday.
Prinsloo is accused of using his hunting rifle to shoot the two women following an alleged argument.
He was arrested on 27 November 2023, moments after Magdaleen Prinsloo (58) and Ruzanne Weideman (31) were declared dead by paramedics who attended the scene.
On Monday, the case was postponed after the court heard that the case's investigating officer had been hospitalised, and a new officer had been appointed to assist with bail proceedings.
A frail-looking Prinsloo looked around the courtroom, where he was met by relatives of his deceased wife and stepdaughter dressed in red tops to mark the blood he is accused of shedding.
