Cash stolen from Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's home
ANC stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has opened a case of theft after money given to her at her 80th birthday bash, was allegedly stolen.
Police confirmed investigating the case but Lt. Col. Kay Makhubela did not want to confirm that an amount of R83 000.00 was stolen from the home.
"We are investigating a case of theft after cash was stolen from a house in Orlando West" he said.
He confirmed that the money was stolen from a bag in Madikizela-Mandela's house but declined to elaborate on the details.
"The complainant, Ma'm Winnie, says she put the money in a bag on Tuesday and when checking the bag later during the week, the money had been stolen," Makhubela told Jacaranda FM News.

Madikizela-Mandela celebrated her 80th birthday on the 26th of September and attended a gala dinner in her honour earlier this week.
