Cele: If we don’t pray for change, South Africa is going to kill itself

Police Minister Bheki Cele believes South Africa needs divine intervention - as being a criminal is the new norm.
Cele spoke at the funeral service of two North West police officers in Lictenburg.
“Criminality and ugly hearts should be part of their lives. I don’t know why they think that why. They think its bad to be good, and good to be bad. There’s that kind of mentality in South Africa,” he said.
He believes communities have become the shop stewards of criminals.
“They begin to believe that they are correct to kill and maim our police – and that must come to an end.”

Five suspects have been arrested after the remains of the officers were found in the back of a burnt-out vehicle in Ganyesa last week.
“But those who are saved from Covid are killed by criminals. Unfortunately, we burry the health, the fit and the young through criminals.
“If we don’t pray for the change of South Africans, South Africa is going to kill itself.”
