Cele vows to improve police resources in Normandien
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Police Minister Bheki Cele visited the family of the late Glen and Vida Rafferty at Normandien in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday afternoon.
Rafferty (63) and his 60-year-old wife were killed by unknown suspects at their farmhouse this past weekend.
Cele said he made a promise to the local community that the shortage of staff at the local police station would be addressed.
"The farmers here have raised the issue that the police station doesn't have enough police, they are 28 and only have nine cars. However, the national deputy commissioner has been tasked to see if we can work on the inadequacies of the resources.”
