Cele vows to open 'police cases clinic' to deal with Eldos crime

Cele says the clinic will focus on outstanding criminal cases.

He held a dialogue with the residents of the community aimed at addressing policing and community relations.

"I'm ordering a clinic here, an outstanding cases clinic," says Cele.

"Everybody that has got outstanding in Eldos must come here and work. When you come you must tell me so that even if I'm not here I can monitor that it does happen so that we are done with outstanding cases and we look at the new cases going forward."

Cele has engaged with a number of communities around the country in a bid to fix the department.

He also urged residents to come forward with any information.

"On that day or another day, give me or the national commissioner or the deputy or the deputy minister or the provincial commissioner the list and names of these people you say are corrupt."
