Chanelle Henning case in court
Updated | By Silindelo Masikane
The trial of Nico Henning, accused of plotting the murder of his estranged wife, Chanelle Henning, is set to start in the North Gauteng High Court on Monday.

Chanelle was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in November 2011, after she dropped their son off at his pre-school.
The Hennings were embroiled in a divorce and custody battle at the time.
Nico Henning is currently out on bail of R 10 million.
He was arrested in 2014 for his wife's murder, after the two so-called middlemen André Gouws and Ambrose Monye were both sentenced to life imprisonment.
The gunmen were each sentenced to 18 years behind bars.

During sentencing in 2013, Gouws told the court that he was offered R1 million by Henning to kill his wife.
He and Monye are willing to testify in Henning's trial.
