Angry protesters barricaded parts of R.D. Naidu Drive at the Randles Road intersection saying they want the alleged assailant to leave the area.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the couple had been sleeping in their home at the Burnwood informal settlement when they were shot - allegedly by the suspect.
