City Power restores electricity at Allandale substation
City Power says electricity has been restored in all areas
in Midrand affected by Allandale substation fire.
These areas include Rabie Ridge 1, 2, 4 and 5, Mayibuye, Commercial Ext 9, Austine View, and parts of Glen Austin.
The substation went up in flames on Wednesday after one of its transformers caught fire.

City Power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena, says technicians from the city and Eskom will remain on site to monitor the situation.
"So that nothing happens like yesterday, and also to finalise their investigations into the cause of the fire," says Mangena.
He adds Allandale substation is scheduled for Stage 2 loadshedding between 8 am to 12 pm n Friday.
