Clashes ahead of inaugural council meeting in Rustenburg
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
There was drama at Rustenburg's first council meeting since the local government election.

Members of the ANC and the EFF clashed ahead of the sitting and police had to intervene to separate the groups.
Tempers flared after EFF members inside the chamber closed the doors to the Civic Centre, refusing entry to ANC members.
The future of Rustenburg's city council is still unclear with exactly who will be ruling the municipality still undecided.
The ANC won the most seats - 43 - but failed to get an outright majority.
If the opposition parties manage to club their 46 seats together, the ANC could lose the municipality and the platinum belt.
The situation has calmed down and the process of swearing in councillors has kicked off.
