Clashes during Ekurhuleni's state of the city address

Members of the Ekurhuleni legislature turned on police members during the State Of The City Address that was tabled in the chambers on Wednesday.
A video, showing members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and metro police clashing violently has been circulating on social media.
Speaker of council Patricia Khumalo called members of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police in to assist in removing "rowdy" EFF members from the chambers, which saw the situation escalating.

Mayor Mzwandile Masina continued to deliver his State of the City address despite the disruptions.
