Coffin case judgement expected
Updated | By Maryke Vermaak
The Middelburg Magistrates Court is set to decide on whether two men, accused of forcing Victor Mlotshwa into a coffin on a farm in Mpumalanga, will be granted bail.

The case comes after a video emerged online that that was allegedly filmed back in August, showing Mlotshwa being forced into the coffin after he allegedly trespassed.
Yesterday the defence for the accused, Theo Martins Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen, maintained there is no reason for them not to be granted bail especially if they agree to stay out of town, for now.

Opposing this, the state said the fear of intimidation or influence on the investigation is prevalent due to the national outcry over the case.
They also argued that they fear for the men's safety.
The defence will this morning resume its questioning of the investigating officer.
