Johannesburg metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says motorists are urged to use alternative routes.
"There is a protest at the moment on Elias Motsoaledi in Dobsenville close to the Sikhakhane station.
"Motorists are urged to avoid that area for now and can use Chris Hani Road as an alternative route.”
