Community Safety MEC wants women to speak out about rape
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
A march against rape and gender-based violence, led by Gauteng MEC for Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, has appealed to men to protect women.
The march follows the recent spate of rapes and robberies in taxis in and around Soweto.
Malobane says the march is meant to raise awareness of the impact of gender-based violence
She also says women who have been raped and abused should speak out.
Midday Mali from Santaco in Gauteng says rape will not happen on their watch.
