Commuters, taxi driver injured in Pretoria taxi violence

Five people were shot and injured when taxi violence broke out in the Pretoria CBD during rush-hour traffic on Thursday morning.
Gauteng police say several shots were fired after violence broke out between rival taxi associations.
A taxi driver and four commuters were injured in the incident which occurred at corner Madiba and Walter Sisulu.
A commuter was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
According to Gauteng provincial police spokesperson, Noxolo Kweza, preliminary investigations revealed the involvement of two rival taxi associations.
“We are investigating and we still on the scene. We also have a task team investigating taxi violence in the province which includes members from other law enforcement agencies.”
No arrested have been made.
