Rakgoale visited various SASSA pay points in Thohoyandou on Monday.

The MEC said while she was happy with the enforcement of health regulations by staff, the wearing of masks remains a concern.
“In terms of social distancing, in terms of sanitizing, I think we are fine even those that are in our post offices… but my worry is in Thohoyandou, I think just outside the Post Office, what I have seen there is scary.
“The people don’t put on masks or they put their masks on their chins and you can see that they are not worried. When they see us coming with police is when they are putting their masks on.”
The Vhembe District has the most confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the province.
“In terms of statistics, Vhembe district in Thohoyandou is the epicentre but what I have seen in Thohoyandou I am not happy at all,” says Rakgoale.
