The increase in infections has prompted Mathabatha to host a virtual meeting with the mining companies on ways to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

The mining companies will include Anglo American Platinum, Exxaro, De Beers, Glencore Alloys, Ivanhoe and Foskor and Samancor.
