Condolences to KZN accident victims
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso

"On behalf of the government of [KwaZulu-Natal], I wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives in these accidents," Mchunu said in a statement.
"We also wish a speedy recovery to the ones who are in hospitals."
Five people were killed when their minibus taxi overturned near Port Shepstone on Saturday night. Four people died at the scene, while the fifth victim, a three-month-old baby, died in hospital, emergency medical services spokesman Robert Mckenzie said.
He said the vehicle rolled down the embankment after it veered off the steep, winding Oribi Gorge Road.
Eleven people were injured in the accident, one critically. They were taken to the Murchison and Port Shepstone hospitals.
In a separate accident, a man was killed and six people were injured when two cars collided on the R612 near Braemar on Sunday, Mckenzie said.
A 30-year-old woman was in a critical condition.
Mchunu said road users had to change their behaviour.
"As society we must make it our business to turn the tide of the road carnage."
