Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
Seven thatch-roof houses and a conference centre have been burnt down at the Mutumo Trading Post outside Polokwane.
The Trading Post offers tourism facilities along the N1 between Polokwane and Makhado for the Capricorn District.
Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says the incident happened on Friday.
"It's alleged that the Security Officers noticed a fire on top of 7 thatch-roofed houses and notified the police and the fire fighters who reacted swiftly. On arrival, these houses and a conference hall were covered with flames," says Ngoepe.
