The aspiring Member of Parliament and Mugabe critic, Fadzayi Mahere, has made an impassioned plea to Zuma on Twitter.

Mahere, like many other Zimbabweans, have asked Zuma to allow the Zimbabwean Parliament to deal with the unfolding political situation in the country.

She says Zimbabwe does not need President Zuma's help or that of SADC.

Angolan President Joao Lourenco said he and South African President Jacob Zuma would fly to Zimbabwe on Wednesday following talks between regional leaders on the crisis engulfing the country.

The tweet is raking up likes and shares on social media.

It's not the first time Mahere has asked for SADC to stay out of it.

Mahere is a Zimbabwean advocate of the High Court and Supreme Court of Zimbabwe as well as a political activist.

In October, Mahere was arrested on security-related charges for organising a community soccer tournament for children.

Impeachment proceedings against Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe are currently in motion.
