Motorists and consumers will feel the pinch this week – with the price of fuel going up on Wednesday.
The Energy Department announced this week that April’s petrol prices will increase by 59 and 62-cents a litre - that’s for 93 and 95 octane respectively. Diesel users will be coughing up just over 55 cents a litre more.

The main contributing factors for the increase include the new fuel and Road Accident Fund levies announced during the 2018 budget speech.
This month’s fuel price adjustments kick in on Wednesday, the 4th of April. VAT also increased from 14 to 15% as of today.
