The N3 Toll Concession says the highway will be closed to traffic after a truck transporting cooking oil was involved in an accident.
The concession’s operations manager Thania Dhoogra says law enforcement closed the road in both directions for public safety.
“The entire N3 Toll Route is currently closed in the vicinity of Montrose in the Free State following an incident involving a truck carrying cooking oil.
“All vehicles are stacked at the scene. Road users are advised to avoid the area and/or delay their trips for the time being. Delays are expected whilst extensive clean-up operations are underway,” says Dhoogra.
