Cop shot and wounded in Milnerton
A 42-year-old warrant officer stationed at Milnerton SA Police Service was shot and wounded at about 3.10am on Sunday morning while attending to a business robbery in progress in Joe Slovo, Milnerton, Cape Town, Western Cape police said.
“He was shot in the neck; [the] member is in a stable condition in hospital,” Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said.
“A suspect in his late 20s was arrested and is expected to appear in court once charged.”
A case of attempted was under investigation. Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation was requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600-10111, Rwexana said.
