Cope says Zuma is still backing Hlaudi
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Congress of the People (COPE) believes former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng still has President Jacob Zuma's backing.
"Motsoeneng can never be so brave, arrogant and so defiant if there were no bigger powers behin him, and those powers are without any doubt from the highest office in the land," says Cope spokesperson Dennis Bloem.
Bloem says last week's press conference held by Motsoeneng confirms the evidence given by witnesses before the parliamentary ad-hoc committee into the fitness of the former SABC board.
"From the evidence presented by the SABC 8 and other former SABC employees, it is clear the SABC is captured by the Guptas, thanks to Zuma the mafia boss. Hlaudi as the gangster and with the Guptas as the handlers of Zuma," says Bloem.
He says Mostoeneng and Zuma have turned the SABC into a "Micky Mouse broadcaster".
