Cops give ticket to toy Barbie jeep

Police in Utah issued a ticket to a parked toy Barbie car.

Two little girls who left their toy Barbie car on the roadside overnight were shocked to wake up to find they had been given a parking ticket.
Police officers in American Fork, Utah, spotted the tiny jeep blocking a driveway and promptly issued an 'abandoned vehicle' ticket, reports KUTV.
The father of the two owners - aged nine and seven - of the jeep almost ran it over the following morning as police had moved it off the street and onto his drive.

That was when he spotted the parking ticket attached to the windscreen of the 2ft high pink car which has 'Barbie' printed on its side.

Closer examination revealed there was no fine or summons - just a friendly reminder about the laws of the road.

Nevertheless, the girls' father says he'll be enforcing his own rules and making sure they park it in the garage in future.
