Counterfeit goods worth R8m seized in Marabastad

Police have seized counterfeit goods worth over R8 million in Marabastad, Pretoria
Twelve undocumented suspects were also arrested during the operation on Tuesday.
The counterfeit items included clothing, shoes, caps and bags.
The operation was conducted together with officials from the Department of Home Affairs, SARS, Brand Protectors and security officers.
"The operation resulted in the seizure of various counterfeit items such as clothing apparels, shoes, caps and bags," said police spokesperson Amanda Van Wyk
"Just two weeks ago, the team also seized counterfeit goods to the value of R13 million during a takedown operation in the Johannesburg CBD."
