Gauteng police seized fake goods to the value of approximately R9 million during a raid in the Johannesburg CBD on Wednesday.

One suspect has been arrested following the raid, says Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters.
“The goods include trousers, t-shirts, running shoes, belts and track pants from local and international brands were packed in big bags and found in storage units on different floors of an eleven-story building,” says Peters.
Fake labels and branded stickers were also found during the raid.
Peters has vowed that the police will continue the raids until no more fake goods are removed from the streets.
