Phakamani Hadebe, Zitha Radebe, Phinda Ndlovu, Sanele Mbhele, Siphiwe Mazibuko and Siphakanyiswa Dladla were denied bail on Monday at the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court.
They are accused of killing Gauteng Health official and whistleblower Babita Deokaran execution style outside her home in Winchester Hills in August.
Her car was riddled with bullets.
Some of the accused allegedly initially confessed when they were arrested with Hadebe claiming he was hired by former health minister, Zweli Mkhize.
The confessions were later withdrawn.
Magistrate Samuel Sibanyoni said he was particularly concerned by the lack of proper physical addresses for all the accuse.
Most of the address, some similar, show that the accused had occupied the residence three weeks prior to their arrest.
"If the applicants are released on bail possibilities are that they might not be able to be traced if they do not come back and appear in court, from the above it is clear that the interests of justice do not permit their release of the applicants on bail. They all are linked to the charges against them," said Sibanyoni.
They are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms.
