FULL JUDGMENT: Court dismissed Zuma's bid to have his arrest halted

The Pietermaritzburg High Court has dismissed former president Jacob Zuma's application to stay his arrest.
The Pietermaritzburg High Court has dismissed former president Jacob Zuma's application to stay his arrest.
Zuma wanted the court to stop the police from arresting him pending his application to the Constitutional Court to rescind its 15-month sentence.
He is currently at the Escort Correctional Centre in KwaZulu-Natal where he is serving his sentence.
Judge Bhekisasa Mnguni delivered the order on Friday.
"The order is as follows, the application is dismissed with costs, such costs include those occasioned by the employment of senior counsel, I hand down the judgment,” said Mnguni.
Zuma’s rescissions application will be heard at the Constitutional Court on Monday.
