Covid-19 cases rise by over 7 000, 119 new deaths

The number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa now stands at 3 521 572.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases said on Saturday evening that 7 759 new coronavirus cases had been recorded since its previous report.
This represents a 19.0% positivity rate.
The majority of new cases are from Western Cape (26%), followed by Kwa-Zulu Natal (25%), while Gauteng accounted for 20%.
The death toll has climbed to 92 371, with 119 new deaths reported.
The country's recovery rate now stands at 93.2%, with close to 148 000 active cases.
Just over 15 000 vaccines had been administered over the past 24 hours.
