Covid-19 closes national police headquarters

The national police headquarters in Pretoria closed its doors on Thursday after a person tested positive for Covid-19.

Police spokesperson Vish Naidoo says the building will be decontaminated.

"The national headquarters in Pretoria has been closed down temporarily this after a member tested positive for Covid-19.
"As a precautionary measure, we had the building evacuated for the entire day to allow for decontamination.
"In the meantime members who may have been in contact will be screened and tested.”
The building is expected to be open for business again on Friday morning.
