Covid-19 costs Eskom R9bn in revenue

Eskom says it has experienced a R9 billion loss in revenue due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This was revealed by CEO André de Ruyter on Thursday morning.
De Ruyter and the power utility’s top management briefed the media on the company’s operational performance.
"It bears emphasising that there was some associated saving obviously, because we did not have to produce the electricity - so there was some saving of coal, diesel and so forth but not enough to offset this particular loss," said De Ruyter.
