Covid-19 death toll keeps climbing in the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape province has recorded the most Covid-19 deaths across South Africa, in the latest cycle.

Statistics released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize, show that the province has recorded a further 32 deaths.
The Free State has recorded 23 more deaths, while the Western Cape has recorded 11 new related deaths.
Gauteng has recorded seven coronavirus fatalities.

The Covid-19 death toll continues to rise, while government is sending additional teams to the province and fears mounting that cluster outbreaks in the province could also lead to a spike in infections in other parts of the country.
A further 1 245 new cases have been identified, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 752 269 since the start of the epidemic in March.
