Covid-19 deaths continue to decline in SA

There has been another significant drop in the number of Covid-19 related deaths reported in South Africa.
Fatalities linked to coronavirus have shown a steady decline since the peak of the second wave in December 2020.
Statistics released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize on Tuesday evening, show that a further 37 people have succumbed to the deadly virus.

“16 people in the Free State, nine in Gauteng, four in the Western Cape and eight in the Eastern Cape,” reads the report.
This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 deaths to 53 032.
The country’s recovery rate remains firm at 95%.
