Covid-19 recovery rate increases to 90%

The Covid-19 recovery rate in South Africa has etched up to 90%.
Statistics released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize on Sunday evening, show that more people are recovering from the deadly virus.
A further 1 268 new cases of the virus have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 670 766.

The number of recorded deaths continues to increase, with 22 Covid-19 related fatalities confirmed.
The Eastern Cape has recorded 7 deaths, KwaZulu-Natal and the North West have each recorded five deaths, the Western Cape has recorded three, while Gauteng has two fatalities.
This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 related deaths to 16 398.
