SA's Covid-19 recovery rate firm, remains above 89%

South Africa’s Covid-19 recovery rate is at 89,4 % - a few days before lockdown restriction will be lowered to Level 1.
The latest report from the Health Department shows the Covid-19 related death toll increasing to 15 705.
These include 24 deaths in KwaZulu-Natal, 14 in Gauteng, 9 in the Western Cape, 6 deaths in the Northern Cape and 11 deaths in Mpumalanga.
There were 1 923 new Covid-19 cases up to Wednesday, bringing the total to 653 444.
The department has so far conducted 3 961 179 Covid-19 tests.
In his address to the nation on Wednesday evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa said the Covid-19 mass testing will be increased.
