CPI rises to 6.1% in April

The consumer price index (CPI) accelerated to 6.1 percent last month from six percent in March, Statistics SA said on Wednesday.

"This rate was 0.1 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of six percent in March 2014," StatsSA said.
On average, prices increased by 0.5 percent between March and April this year.
