The South African Cricketers' Association (SACA) has donated R300 000 to the Gift of the Givers Foundation.
The money is meant to assist the foundation with distributing food parcels to communities suffering due the Covid-19 pandemic.
SACA CEO Andrew Breetzke says the association recognises that underprivileged communities are suffering even more hardship.
"The decision was made to donate R300 000 to those communities that are in desperate need. We specifically looking at directing the money to children who are in need.”
Breetzke says the donation will have a national footprint as cricket players come from across the country.
