CTown hiker stabbed to death

An elderly hiker was stabbed to death on a Cape Town trail on Wednesday morning, Western Cape police said.

The 72-year-old man had been walking with a female companion on the Trappieskop hiking trail, off Boyes Drive in Kalk Bay, around 10.30am, said Lt-Col Andre Traut.
A man approached them, stabbed him with a knife, and fled with their personal belongings.
No arrests had been made.
