Cyclist dragged 200 metres by car in JHB

A cyclist was critically injured when he was hit by a car and dragged about 200 metres close to Montgomery Road near the West Park Cemetery in Johannesburg, Gauteng paramedics said on Sunday.

ER24 paramedics as well as other services attended to the accident, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
“Upon assessment of the patient paramedics found that the man sustained multiple severe injuries. The man was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.”
The cause of the accident was unknown and local authorities were on the scene to investigate, Bodasing said.
