DA to appeal De Lille ruling
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is set to appeal a recent judgment by the Western Cape High Court in favour of Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille.

The High Court last month found material flaws in the DA’s decision to revoke De Lille’s membership.
DA's Natasha Mazzone says the party's Federal Executive decided to go ahead with an appeal.
She adds the party's legal team are finalising the appeal documents and will be submitted to the courts.
"The Democratic Alliance is of course incredibly concerned over the confusion and disruption caused by the particular incident."
However, she reiterates that the party is doing everything in its power to make sure there are no disruption to service delivery in Cape Town.
"We trust that we would rebuild our confidence and regain absolute confidence by showing excellent service delivery."

After the news broke, De Lille said on Twitter that she respects the DA's decision to appeal the judgment.
I respect the @Our_DA's right to appeal the recent Western Cape High Court judgment. Afterall, a fair trial includes the right to appeal.
