DA appoints Natasha Mazonne as chief whip
Updated | By Nokukhanya Mntambo
The Democratic Alliance's (DA) new parliamentary leader John Steenhuisen has made his first move at the helm.

Steenhuisen appointed Natasha Mazonne as chief whip on Thursday.
This comes after a number of resignations from senior officials, including former leader Mmusi Maimane.
Mazonne says she's honoured to be entrusted with the role.
"I most certainly will be doing everything in my power to make sure that the democratic movement in our country remains strong, that we remains accountable in parliament.
"I don't think we should be naive, the DA has had a horrible couple of weeks, we 've been through a very difficult time but we'd like to assure all our voters in South Africa that… the party is on track."
Mazonne replaces Steenhuisen as chief whip and admits she has big shoes to fill.
"I'm proud to say I have learned from the best."
