DA to picket at police station in Soshanguve

The Democratic Alliance (DA) Youth and it's national leadership will picket outside picket outside the Soshanguve Police Station on Saturday.

The picket follows the fatal shooting of a Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) student, allegedly by a police officer.
DA's Natasha Mazzone says universities should be a place of order and police should also be there to uphold the law.
Mazzone believes unnecessary force was used to disperse the students when the disruption occurred.
"We want this issue fully investigated so that we make sure that SAPS is there to protect people and doesn't result in death," says Mazzone.
Violence erupted at the university on Thursday afternoon following allegations that the Student Representative Council (SRC) elections were rigged.
