DA urges government to terminate all Bosasa contracts
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to cancel all government contracts with controversial facilities management company Bosasa.
This follows testimony by former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi at the commission of inquiry into state capture on Wednesday.
Agrizzi revealed that Bosasa spent millions of rand per month in bribes to African National Congress (ANC) officials, in return for lucrative government tenders.
The DA's Graham Charters says Bosasa has dealings to the tune of R10 billion with government and Agrizzi's testimony reveals a link that points to the concerning way in which government does business.

Charters says the DA has been calling for an inquiry into Bosasa since last year after it was revealed Ramaphosa's son, Andile, had received funds from the company.
The money given to the son of the president was later revealed to have been a donation towards Ramaphosa's 'CR17' campaign to win the presidency of the ANC in December 2017.
"It must go ahead. The president cannot appoint a commission of inquiry when it involves him and his son."
