DA urges Ramaphosa to find his deputy president
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is set to write to National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete, to establish the whereabouts of Deputy President David Mabuza.

This comes after the deputy president failed to appear in Parliament to answer oral questions.
Mabuza's spokesperson Thami Ngwenya, told the Sunday Times the deputy president is in Russia on sick leave, but added however that he is not ill.
"I think it is up to the president [Cyril Ramaphosa] to take the country into his confidence and tell the country where his deputy president is and what the circumstances of this absence are?" says DA Chief Whip John Steenhuisen.
Steenhuisen says if it is correct that the deputy president is ill, it is bizarre that he is seeking medical attention in Russia.
"We have perfectly acceptable medical facilities here in South Africa."
