DA will meet Maile in court, vows Msimanga

Former Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga has threatened legal action against Gauteng Human Settlements and Cooperative Governance MEC Lebogang Maile.
This after Maile moved to place the City of Tshwane under administration, a decision the Democratic Alliance (DA) has described as unlawful and undemocratic.
On Monday, Gauteng Premier David Makhura announced that he has appointed Maile to submit a full report on the state of affairs in Tshwane, amid concerns over the city’s financial health and a lack of service delivery.
Msimanga told the media on Sunday that Tshwane is nowhere near meeting the criteria of being put under administration.
"We can tell him of municipalities that have failed to do anything, year in and year out. In fact, the provincial government has been pumping in money to these municipalities who have shown no sign of turning the corner."
DA provincial leader John Moodey also told the media that Maile's letter is very vague and does not specifically say that the city has been placed under administration.
