Burgersfort police confiscated dagga and suspected stolen cellphones from pupils at the Sekgome High School in Limpopo on Wednesday.

A joint search by police, the K9 Unit, the local Community Policing Forum as well as Youth Against Crime was conducted at the school.
Police said the search forms part of its School Safety Programme.
Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said classrooms and pupils were searched.
"This type of operation will continue to ensure schools remain a place of education and nothing else," Ngoepe said.
Ngoepe has urged parents to ensure their children do not engage in criminal activities.
The Limpopo Department of Education' spokesperson, Naledzani Rasila, said the department is concerned about learners who are found in possession of illegal substances and stolen goods.
"We always try to caution all the learners to stay away from such activities," Rasila said.
