Dagga worth thousands found on a farm in North West

Dagga with a street value of more R 744 000 was found on a farm near Klerksdorp, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) said on Sunday.
Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso said the Hawks had arrested two men aged 34 and 53 for possession of dagga early on Sunday.
“Information was received about a large stash of dagga nestled in a shack located approximately 15km outside of Klerksdorp at Doringhoek farm. An intelligence driven operation was swiftly conducted and large bags of dagga valued [at] approximately R744,000 were found,” she said.

The two arrested men were expected to appear in the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
North West Hawks head Maj-Gen Linda Mbana urged the community to continue reporting crime, saying there was no place for drugs in the province, as they affected people’s lives.
