De Lille judgment on Tuesday

Patricia de Lille says judgment in
her case is expected to be delivered in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday.
On Friday, Judge Patrick Gamble heard arguments from De Lille's lawyers that the Democratic Alliance's (DA) automatic cessation of membership clause had been selectively applied to her in an unjust way.
He also heard the DA's legal team argue that the talk radio interview, which sparked her expulsion, is part of a pattern of actions that shows her relationship with the party is broken beyond repair.
Judge Gamble will deliver his verdict around lunchtime on Tuesday.
Ian Neilson has been named acting mayor of the City of Cape Town but De Lille says she still considers herself to legally be the city’s number one resident.
De Lille is confident, saying she is hoping for the best.
"I am hoping for a very positive outcome, that I'll be able to go back to my office and hopefully do my work," says De Lille.
The spokesperson for the acting mayor, Piera Abbot, says they will announce a new mayoral committee after the judgment.
