Deadly Centurion crash closes N1

The N1 near Botha Avenue in Centurion had to be closed to traffic on Monday morning following a deadly crash involving a minibus.
Gauteng traffic spokesperson Obed Sibasa says traffic is severely backed up and motorists could expect a two-hour delay.
"One person killed, three critically injured and 6 serious.
"The injured were rushed to different hospitals," said Sibasa.

He says the N1 has been closed off to traffic and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
"Motorists can use R21 or N14 as alternatives. Traffic is severely backed up.”
Sibasa says officials are working to open up the freeway as soon as possible.
