Death of Nedbank Golf Challenge director mourned

Employees at Sun International are receiving counselling after 40-year-old Dan Sevel fell to his death at the company’s headquarters in Sandton on Thursday.

Sevel, a marketing manager who was also the director at the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City, fell from the fifth floor of the building.
According to Sun International’s spokesperson, Zoleka Skweyiya, employees are receiving counselling following the horrific incident.
“We are deeply saddened by such a tragic loss of a colleague and a friend and extend our deepest sympathy to his friends and family.”
Meanwhile, tributes have been pouring in, with some of his colleagues describing him as a gentle giant.
Sevel is survived by his wife and seven-year-old son.
